H.B. Frazer Company was founded in Philadelphia in 1906, which makes us the oldest electrical contractor in the Philadelphia area. We are now in our fourth generation. We specialize in commercial, institutional, industrial, utility line, and communications work, employing over two hundred tradesmen. Our office staff consists of over 40 men and women who are responsible for the estimating, engineering, accounting, transportation, and management functions of the business. We believe that the quality of the work is more important than the quantity and as a result have limited our coverage area to the Delaware Valley and southeastern Pennsylvania. Over the last three years our annual volume has grown to over $60 million. We have always taken pride in our ability to manage projects, especially with regard to cost control and scheduling. In addition, we have in-house graduate and professional engineers to provide any technical support that may be required.
We are currently working on or have recently completed projects for clients such as AT&T, Carpenter Technologies, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Citizen Bank, Comcast, Fox Chase Cancer Center, Franklin & Marshall College, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Master Foods, McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Mellon Bank, Merck, Millersville University, PECO Energy, Pennsylvania Hospital, Pfizer, Precision Medical, Reading Hospital, St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Taylor Hospital, Tengion, School District of Philadelphia, Verizon, West Chester University, and Wyeth among others.
Our outside labor force is comprised of highly qualified trained individuals, many with more than 20 years experience with the company. We currently are performing work covered under agreements with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 98 (Philadelphia), Local 102 (Easton, PA), Local 143 (Harrisburg), Local 269 (Trenton, NJ), Local 313 (Wilmington, DE), Local 351 (South Jersey), Local 375 (Allentown), Local 380 (Norristown), Local 654 (Chester), Local 743 (Reading), Line Local 126, and Communications Workers Local 98.
We are 81-year members of the National Electrical Contractors Association, a member of the Philadelphia Electrical Association, and a 35-year member of the Federated Electrical Contractors. FEC is an organization comprised of 37 contractors, each from select major market areas, allowing members to perform joint venture projects for clients throughout the USA and around the world.
